EVALUACIÓN DE LA RED VIAL CANTONAL DE SAN MATEO: TRAMOS HOMOGENEOS RVC DE SAN MATEO.

Abstract

El estudio realizado en las principales rutas de la red vial cantonal de San Mateo durante el año 2011, contempla el diagnóstico de la red vial, la identificación y caracterización de tramos homogéneos, esto con el objetivo de buscar y aplicar soluciones a secciones de la carretera que presenten condiciones similares de deterioro. En el presente informe se detalla el análisis de aproximadamente 10 km, donde fueron identificados un total de 15 tramos homogéneos. Los tramos generados fueron posteriormente analizados por medio de diferentes parámetros como: deflectometría, IRI (índice de Regularidad Internacional), sondeos y conteos. El análisis de los datos de deflectometría promedio para cada tramo indicó que un 25% de los tramos homogéneos (2,8 km) presentan daños importantes, por otro lado 7,7 km (73%) presentan una buena condición estructural. En cuanto a los valores promedio de IRI se determinó que un 75% (7,9 km) de la longitud evaluada posee una condición superficial en condición regular, mientras que el restante 25% posee una condición de servicio muy deficiente. Uno de los productos más importantes que se incluye en el análisis es la propuesta del tipo de intervención general (mantenimiento, refuerzo estructural o reconstrucción) basados en el estado actual de cada uno de los tramos homogéneos. La información contenida en este informe es una herramienta útil para una eficiente y eficaz gestión de los recursos que dispone el municipio para el mantenimiento y la mejora de la red vial que administra.

The study carried out on the main roads of the cantonal road network of San Mateo in 2011 includes the diagnosis of the road network, the identification and characterization of homogeneous sections, with the aim of finding and applying solutions to sections of the road with similar deterioration conditions. The present report details the analysis of approximately 10 km, where a total of 15 homogeneous sections were identified. The sections generated were subsequently analyzed using different parameters such as deflectometry, IRI (International Roughness Index), surveys and counts. The analysis of the average deflectometry data for each section indicated that 25% of the homogeneous sections (2.8 km) presented significant damage, while 7.7 km (73%) had a good structural condition. Regarding the IRI values, it was determined that 75% (7.9 km) of the evaluated length has a regular surface condition, while the remaining 25% has a very poor service condition. One of the most important products that is included in the analysis is the proposal of the type of general intervention (maintenance, structural reinforcement or reconstruction) based on the current state of each of the homogeneous sections. The information contained in this report is a useful tool for an efficient and effective management of the resources available to the municipality for the maintenance and improvement of the road network it manages.
