Evaluación de calidad de la mezzcla asfáltica en caliente producida y calocada, sección II: Ciudad Colón-Orotina, proyecto de concesión San José-Caldera

Abstract

Sobre el diseño de mezcla. Al evaluar el cumplimiento de la tolerancia de la combinación granulométrica del diseño de mezcla utilizado, se puede evidenciar que el porcentaje pasando para las mallas ½ y Nº 4 se encuentran sobre el límite inferior del rango de especificación. Además, las tolerancias de la mallas Nº 16, Nº 30 y Nº 50, se encuentran sobre el límite de especificación superior.

Sobre la mezcla asfáltica producida Al realizar el análisis de los resultados de ensayo se observa que 3 de las 18 muestras presentan un valor de contenido de asfalto menor al límite inferior establecido en las especificaciones contractuales. Si la cantidad de asfalto es menor a la requerida por la mezcla, es posible que exista una cantidad insuficiente de asfalto para formar la película que debe cubrir el agregado, lo cual puede afectar la durabilidad de la mezcla durante su vida de operación.

Sobre la variabilidad estadística de la mezcla asfáltica producida Se calcularon índices de calidad (QL y QU) a partir de los resultados de ensayo, para cada una de las mallas de la combinación granulométrica y para el contenido de asfalto. Dicho estimador estadístico refleja el sesgo con respecto al valor meta y la variabilidad existente dentro del conjunto de datos analizados. Según el Manual del SIECA para los datos analizados la variabilidad máxima permitida es de un 20%, la cual se incumple para la malla 16 y 30.

Sobre la mezcla asfáltica colocada Durante el proceso de toma y extracción de los núcleos, se comprobó que en 2 de las 30 secciones analizadas, las muestras de espesores de núcleos presentan resultados menores a 5,0 cm.

Sobre la variabilidad de la mezcla asfáltica colocada a partir de las muestras analizadas se determina que el espesor y la densidad de compactación de la mezcla asfáltica colocada no presentan una variabilidad significativa
