PROPUESTA DE lÍNEA DE INVESTIGACIÓN: DETERMINACIÓN DE PARÁMETROS DE CARGA PARA DISEÑO ESTRUCTURAL DE PAVIMENTOS EN COSTA RICA

Abstract

Con la presente propuesta de Línea de Investigación, se pretende determinar los parámetros más representativos en la modelación de las cargas a las que se someten las carreteras en Costa Rica. Esto, con la finalidad de servir como insumo para la futura Guía de Diseño Estructural de Pavimentos para nuestro país. La propuesta de Línea de Investigación de Carga se plantea en cuatro fases principales como se explica a continuación: La primera fase corresponde a una recopilación de datos en campo y su posterior análisis, con el fin de estudiar cuatro parámetros principales que corresponden a carga, presión de inflado, desviación lateral de llanta y tránsito. Esto resultará en una base de datos de parámetros de carga medidos en campo. Esta fase será realizada por medio de proyectos de investigación que desarrollarán la Unidad de Materiales y Pavimentos, Unidad de Seguridad Vial y Transporte del PITRA-LanammeUCR, y trabajos finales de graduación. La segunda fase denominada "Desarrollo del Sistema de Modelación Estructural", consiste en la modelación de los parámetros estudiados y cuantificados en la primera fase con el fin de predecir la respuesta del pavimento ante los distintos parámetros de carga. La tercera fase consiste en la modelación de /os estadísticos de carga con sus variaciones. Por último, la cuarta fase corresponde a la verificación y/o comprobación de modelos de falla. Esta fase consiste en desarrollar diferentes experimentos a escala natural, que permitan realizar un análisis de sensibilidad de los parámetros de carga y su influencia en /as variaciones en el criterio de falla.

With the present proposal of Line of Investigation, it is tried to determine the most representative parameters in the modeling of the loads to which the roads in Costa Rica are submitted, this with the purpose of serving as an input for the future Guide of Structural Design of Pavements for our country. The proposed Load Line is proposed in four main phases as follows: The first phase corresponds to a data collection in the field and its subsequent analysis, in order to study four main parameters that correspond to load, pressure Inflation, sidewall deviation and transit. This will result in a database of load parameters measured in the field. This phase will be carried out through research projects that will develop the PITRA-LanammeUCR Materials and Pavements Unit, Road Safety and Transport Unit, and final graduation work. The second phase called "Development of the Structural Modeling System" consists of the modeling of the parameters studied and quantified in the first phase in order to predict the response of the pavement to the different load parameters. The third phase consists of the modeling of statistical loads with their variations. Finally, the fourth phase corresponds to the verification and / or verification of failure models. This phase consists in the development of different experiments on a natural scale, allowing a sensitivity analysis of the load parameters and their influence on variations in the fault criterion.
